Prophiecies expanded
One thing great about the starter area in cantha is after completeing the two missions you can go into the zone as an explorable area.
Would it not be great if after beating the last prophiecies mission you could travel back to places like nolani acedemy and venture into the area as an explorable zone full of ending+ things such as NPC's that have come in to rebuild and quests to defend them, or various other things.

Ahh, finally, the search function works again. I too, wanted to comment on the new mechanic for the Shing Jea missions. I like this idea, especially now with the exploration titles - it makes it much less of a hassle to do the missions without having to worry about wasting time clearing out the map. I would like to see this expanded to all the missions in both chapters - missions like the Northern Wall and Aurora Glade really need it.
Sometimes its hard enough to find a group who you can do a mission with, let alone find one that doesn't mind wasting time on the "dinky" stuff. I even think that for some missions (like Aurora) that once the main mission is complete, you need not worry about it when doing the bonus (like the Glint mission, in which you actually can't do both in one run).

PS: I also wanted to add that I would like to see the old arenas opened back up for exploration as well. Even if they don't count towards the cartographer titles, it would be nice to have those areas opened up to the characters I have that never had a chance to go to them. I would also like to see them function as PvP arenas again - they can be used to play just their respective maps on the Battle Isles in the Random grouping, which could be used by us die hard PvEers to practice our skills on these maps.

You would need two entrances to these missions as some are still doing them but it doesn't sound like a bad idea. The secound entrance would be for those who have done the missions or beat them.

Actually, after thinking about it some more, adding another staging area (like Ran Musu), might not even be necessary for each of those missions. It might be less work and easier to code new button options for the current staging areas of the Prophecies missions (and any of the Factions missions that don't become explorable). Instead of the lone "Enter Mission" button, anyone who completes the main mission would then have an "Enter Explorable" button to click which would take them to the explorable only version of the mission area. That way, everyone could still start in the same staging outpost, and those who have completed the mission can still repeat it as desired, but also have the option to form a party with other players who completed the mission and just explore the area.
This might also be feasible for those who complete the main mission in a run, but not the bonus. A third button could be added that would allow them to enter the mission area, but not have to worry about satisfying the main mission goals, and concentrate solely on the bonus mission. Once complete, that option would disappear, leaving only the normal "Enter" and "Explore" options.

Has this been changed? I have always managed to do both the main mission and bonus at Dragon's Lair at the same run since I bought the game last summer

yeah strange thing to say... Put it in another way: You can't do the Glint Bonus without doing the mission. So play the mission, get a shot at the bonus automatically. Get the bonus = get the mission. Fail the bonus = get the mission.

We're not talking about adding completely new content such as SF, but only allowing easier exploration of the current content, especially for henchie runs. I am glad that Anet is researching ways to make the GW universe more "soloable." GW may be an MMO, but at its heart, it's simply a great CRPG, and that's what attracted me to it in the first place. I certainly do enjoy the community aspect of the game, but I have been and always will be a solo PvEer at heart - if I had the choice between an MMO version of GW and a single-player version, I certainly would have gotten the SP version of the game.
I think one of the things that sets GW apart from other MMO's (aside from the no fee model), is that much of the game can be played through as a single player type of game. I really would like to see Anet go in this direction - allow players the choice to play through the game alone, or with other players. One of the disappointing things about Factions is that you have to party with other players for much more of the game than you did with Prophecies. I would like to at least run through each chapter alone, and at my own pace, without requiring the help of other players. After that, I am much more open to teaming up with others to help them along in their travels. But having that "soloablility" is very important to me.

I may be mistaken, I actually haven't played this mission since shortly after the game was initially released, but recall doing two runs - one for the main and one for the bonus, it may be I thought at the time that since you have to fight Glint in the bonus, I finished the main mission first to make sure I completed it.

Nah, too much work for something that has so little demand.
Even if Anet does decide to update Prophecies (which I doubt, and I dont blame them- they have given enough), I would rather see them do something more interesting than update the medicore storyline.

Well they could add portals, like in the one mission. I mean it would help us get around. Or if your just trying to explore mission areas... maybe just more doors open when you got it done.
